My son is 10 months old and has been sharing a bed with my husband and I since day one. For about 2 weeks now he has been waking up all night long. He is either squirrming or crying when he wakes up. I have given him motrin and teething tablets with some results. He also has an amber teething necklace that he wears at night as well. Actually he wears the necklace all the time. I took him to his dr. and was told there is no ear infection. I took him to my kinesologist and he told me he had an ulser and to start him on chlorphyl (sp) and a probiotic. I have started both of those and he has been doing that for about 6 days now. I am also giving him only very bland foods to eat. I feel at a loss though. I can't figure out why he's not sleeping well. I'm having a hard time believing he actually has an ulser and if he did, why it would bother him at night. My middle son did this exact same thing at the exact same age and for him I had to do sleep training. Gentle of course, with me in the room with him the entire time. Here is what is baffeling me though. My middle son was never a good sleeper, but this baby is a great sleeper and always has been until now. Please any advice would be great. Even if you could say you dealt with the same thing and never figured it out, would be helpful.

I'm so sorry things have been rough lately. I wonder if your DS is troubled more at night because he's lying down. My DH had some stomach issues due to a medication he had to take for a while, and he said that it felt worse at night. I wonder if using a wedge so that DS's head is elevated might help?
If it's teeth, well, it will pass. And if it's just a sleep issue, that will pass too. (This is what I keep telling myself after 22 months of my DS NEVER having STTN.) Sorry if that sounds bleak.
Get as much rest as YOU can!
Good luck!
