I have been constantly recommended a set of books that has each year in milestones and challenges. I cannot for the life of me remember what the books were and my googling has been unsuccessful.

I wondered if anyone knew of these or had recommendations?

thanks!

"Your One Year Old", "Your Two Year Old", etc. by Louise Bates Ames

They're great. Written in the 70s/80s - so some of the suggestions are dated, but the developmental stuff is really good. I've found them really helpful.

I thought so too until I read a section about how a 3 (I think it was 3, maybe 4) year old little girl should never sleep in bed with their daddy. I was astounded at that whole section and thought it was just insane.

The one I read (Three year old I think?) was good...for a laugh. There was one part that (I wish I could remember how it was worded) said about the father disciplining the child at the supper table. But it sounded like something out of Leave it to Beaver. I'm pretty sure this is also the book that said to potty train your child by putting down newspapers, like you'd do with a dog. ???
