games for a 3 year old? which ones do you like?

My DD2 just turned 3. She loves to play games- like board games. She loves Candyland, and she also loves to play those Memory games where you turn over cards to make matches. I want to buy her a few more games that she'll be able to enjoy. Thing is, those two games are challenging for her. She can play them, but she has to think and work hard at them. So I'm looking for really really really easy games. She cannot count reliably yet past about 3 or 4, and she only knows a few letters of the alphabet, so games that need a lot of counting or letter knowledge may not be the best choice. Chutes and Ladders, for instance, is too hard for her right now.

Anyway, if you have any good ideas, please share. Thank you!

Crazy 8's and Go Fish are hugely popular with my 3 year old. Plus it helps reinforce numbers.

We liked Hi-Ho Cherry-O. I think that if she can count to four, she's good.

We also have a Lucy Hammett Wildlife Bingo game that might be do-able for your daughter. They're a small company and have a lot of different bingo games based on interest:

Zingo! My favorite for that age. These are more expensive, but we also love Haba's Orchard, and a butterfly game called Schmetti Coloretti:

My dd also likes the Snails Pace Race. The idea is that you're supposed to move the snail one space at a time, one snail at a time. My dd doesn't like that rule at all and moves them willy nilly, but she certainly has fun with it.

Maple Landmark animal dominoes are a huge hit here. DD got them for her 3rd birthday and she still loves them.

I found animal bingo at a garage sale for 50 cents and she loves that.

Hi-Ho Cherry-O is great!

Lets Go Fishing is annoyingly loud but she likes it.

And also Go Fish.

Orchard is my favorite game for that age range. It's a really great game. I give it for gifts all the time. Zingo is fun too (bingo type game). Snail pace race is really simple and fast paced too.

We have a couple of games by the Blue Orange company that my just-turned-four DS likes. One is Pengoloo, a big hit because his favorite animals are penguins. It's a memory game. Little wooden penguins hide different-colored eggs underneath them. You roll two dice that have color spots on them, and you lift up two penguins to try to find the right colored eggs. First one to match six wins.

We also have Zimbbos, which is a dexterity game. You have little balancing animals and wooden platforms, and you have to build them up in a certain way depending on the roll of a dice. My kids also like to just stack them up randomly without playing the game.

We just got the game Sequence for Kids, which we like a lot. There's a game board with a grid of connected squares. Each square has an animal picture on it. There are cards that correspond to each animal picture, and each player is dealt three cards. My kids like to have everyone's cards visible, although you could also hide them in your hand. When it's your turn, you play one of your three cards and use a colored chip to cover that animal on the game board. Then you draw a new card to keep three in your hand. The object of the game is to get four chips in a row, and to block the other players from getting four (which is why my kids like for us to all show our cards).

We have Zingo too for my 2 and almost 6 year old. They both play, but the 2 year old is often distracted and never notices the pictures she needs so she rarely wins - LOL!

We have this too. I think we got it for dd's 4th or 5th birthday. She is almost 6 (in March) and still doesn't really understand the strategy aspect even though she is very smart. She still has fun, but can never win unless I purposely let her AND help guide her. The game I think is rated 3-6. It is a good game, just hard for the age group it is rated for.
