DS loves dominios - but we have the 'animal' kind (im after a thomas one for him though too hehe)....but we don't play 100% by the rules...we just split the pieces up and match the pictures together! Hes a cheater though - he likes to have all the doubles! lol

My newly-turned 3 y/o is obsessed with game-playing right now. Here's what we play:

Zingo

Richard Scarry's Busytown (very fun, cooperative, varied elements)

Go Fish

Uno (we started without any wild cards or skips or reverses and gradually introduced them)

Cootie

Elefun (not a board game, a blowing elephant that shoots butterflies for you to catch)

Candyland

Phase 10 for Kids

Barrel of Monkeys

Thanks for more ideas--hope this adds to your list!

oh, I forgot elefun!

Hullabaloo
The Letter Factory Game (dd1 liked this, we haven't really played it yet with dd2 (only 2 years old)
Hiss
Connect 4 - although dd2 doesn't get it, she likes putting the "checkers" in.

Oh, all great suggestions! It's going to take me awhile to sort through them all and decide. Keep them coming, though!

The Ladybug Game.

I only vaguely scanned the previous posts, but didn't see Colorama mentioned. It's a Ravensburger game and great fun for littles.

We have Zingo and I think it's a game that will really grow with DD. Right now we don't play it as a bingo game (she's 3), but as more of a matching game. We both have cards and each take turns finding the chips we need (I let her pick out mine and hers). Of course, the best part is when the card is full and you can shout, "Zingo!" As she gets older, we can start adding in some more of the "rules". She also really likes the chips and recently started lining them up and making designs out of them. Like the PP, it's a good one if they have older siblings as well. Both can play pretty easily at their own level.

There are a number of Eric Carle games at Target nowdays.

We have the one based on the Brown Bear, Brown Bear, what do you see? book. It is simple and fun. We play it together, helping eachother. My 4yo plays it well, and my 2yo just started playing it this weekend and he even gets it (but we do have the book, so it is somewhat familiar). You collect the animals in the story - matching the card you choose with one in front of your spot.

So it's easy and fun.
