Not sure he want's to be worn anymore.

We have a babyhawk that I love, love love. Ds is 7 m/o & I've always worn him into the stores when we shop.

The last couple weeks he's been pushing as far away from me as he can or leaning waaaay over to one side trying to see around me. Are we done wearing him or does anyone have any ideas?

As it is he's killing my back doing this

Also I've been thinking of back carrying him but he LOVES to yank out handfuls of hair so I cringe at the thought of him having a free for all on my back

It may just be a stage he's going through. My dd went through stages of being fussy when worn, but always came back to it, and we still babywearer at 2.5 years.

He also may just want to see more and look around. You could try doing a high back carry, or you may want to try a hip carry, possibly with a short woven wrap in a rebozo carry, or a ringsling if a mei tai hip carry isn't comfortable.

As for the hair pulling does he do it even when you put your hair up? My dd stopped trying to pull my hair so much when it was up, though some babies still try. If he's still pulling it when it's up could you use something to distract him? I've heard of people wearing a nursing necklace backwards so their baby can play with it.
