Evap vs. BFP?

I was not going to obsess this month, but I had a Dollar Tree HPT in the house and I gave in. I tested this morning. I got a very faint second line but it looked like an evap. So I got a FRER and tested this afternoon (I know I should wait til morning again) and I saw a *very* faint second line at 3 min. but I can't tell if it's an evap line or not. I'm think I'm losing my mind.

AF is due Saturday, 2 days from now. My cycle is very regular (25 days every month) so I know I should just wait to see if she comes and then test... but I am so impatient.

Just wanted to vent. I don't want to get on DH's nerves with this since we promised this time we would remain calm (unlike previous cycles and unlike conceiving DS). Now I need to just distract myself, because I am certainly not calm...

How can you tell the difference between an evap line and a BFP? I guess I just need to keep waiting....? sigh....

Evaps generally don't have color to them.
A faint faint faint pink line is a line, not an evap.

Post some pics mama.

Thanks. By the time I could have taken pics it was beyond the time limit and that little pink line on the old test is giving me what could be false hope. I will post pics the next time, which will be tomorrow or Sunday.

Feb 13 Test

Here is this morning's test: http://i768.photobucket.com/albums/x...feb2010002.jpg

Today I'm due for AF, and am getting a little bit of spotting. It's brown--sorry TMI--but my period is usually red from the beginning... Could it be implantation bleeding? I'm just obsessing and anxious. We'll see how today goes.

Looks like ++ to me! Congrats!

That's a definite positive!!!

You're pregnant! Congratulations

Huggingmama, that DEFINITELY is a BFP! Congrats!!!! I don't know about the spotting--maybe it could be just some older blood from implantation?

that is undoubtedly a positive

I wouldnt worry about the spotting... many mamas bleed in early pregnancy. Unless its accompanied by cramping or turns red its probably nothing at all to worry about and just mention it to your doctor at your first appointment...

severe cramping WITH bleeding... or red blood... would warrant a call to the doctors office ASAP to find out what to do.

(even those situations can be completely harmless, but the chance of it not being harmless is what warrants the call)

Thanks, mamas! I have been cramping a little bit for several days now, as if AF is going to come, but it feels a little different. DH and I went to the dollar store today for some more tests... I just can't believe it yet, and am still worried about the spotting (though it's stopped for now at least) so I'll keep checking in the AM to make sure before I make an appt. with the midwife. Thanks for the info, MaerynPearl.

cramping is totally normal... I had it until about 6 weeks along. As long as its not severe you should be fine

Wow, that's for sure a BFP! Congrats!
I also had spotting early on. Try not to worry. H&H 9 months!
