ideas for sympathy cards, flowers etc

Hi,
I'm writing to ask if anyone has any creative ideas for sympathy cards and the funeral flowers.
My dad passed away 2 weeks ago and I have alot of cards from friends/family and the flowers from his casket.

Did you put them in a journal/scrapbook?
Flowers in a special container?

I'm going to make my mom a prayer shawl anyone have any nice patterns?

I dont have any great ideas and its probably to late for one of my ideas but what about drying the flowers in books and making a scrap book with photos of your dad and the cards you recieved. Sorry I dont have any better ideas, Im so sorry to hear about your dad.

When my Mom passed away, my Dad gave me the cards he received afterwards and I just keep them in what I call the Mama end of life file...not really attractive but even now after 5.5 years I can't bring myself to sdo anything with them. A journal might be nice.
