Where to buy urine test strips

My ds had an illness a few weeks ago which requires that we check his urine every two weeks for both urine and blood. To go to the doctor to do this will cost us $45/visit just to do the lab. I feel comfortable doing this at home if I can get a recommendation for urine test strips that are reliable. Couldn't think of a better place than MDC for such wisdom! I know alot of pg moms check for protein, so any recommendations? Where to buy? What brand?

They should have them at your local pharmacy. You have to ask because they are usually behind the pharmacy counter.

We have used the AZO strips with some success. They are not as accurate as lab tests, but they work pretty well. We can't find them locally (we're very rural) so we order them online here. If we get any kind of wonky reading we head to the doctor for labs.

Most big chain stores have them. The Azo one around here is 3 strips/$10. I get mine in bulk. I think it's 100 strips at a time from www.cenmed.com. It depends how many you're going to need. The Azo type tests for white blood cells (WBC) and nitrites only. If you need protein or anything else, you're going to need a different test strip. The ones I get is Chemstrip 9 and tests for a bunch of things.

Thanks everyone. I found some online that test for both things I need. They were $25/100, and that beats $45/doctor visit x 8!
