Do I need vaginal supositories?

I read somewhere on this forum that some women had them early on in their pregnancies.

What are they and if I'm pregnant do I need them to?

I'm just waiting to see I am for sure or not.

I've been pregnant twice and have never even heard of vaginal suppositories for pregnancy.

They are progesterone suppositories, for when a person has low progesterone.

its for women who have low progesterone problems. Unless you have indications of it, you wont even be tested for this (indications include previous miscarriages and possible fertility problems, thus having medical help to conceive)

Most women have no problems at all with progesterone... and many who do its only indicative of an already failed pregnancy rather than one where she just has low progesterone.

I tested at the lower end (I have history of miscarriage) and am not on suppositories (or pills, or cream) because everything else is healthy but they are keeping an eye on my progesterone levels to see if they drop further, possibly meriting the use of suppositories.

Thanks for the fast replies! One less thing to worry about IF I am pregnant.

I agree....My RE put me on suppositories only as a precaution. I had some fertility issues and he just wanted to make sure that the little bean stuck...
