Anyone taken Domperidone?

I have a few questions I hope someone can answer for me. I was just prescribed this to help boost my low supply. I am currently taking 20 mg 4 times a day. The pharmicist said to do this dosing until I saw an increase and then cut back a little, if needed, until I find a good dosing system for me. So my question is, my baby has always taken both breasts every feed ( obviously due to low supply ) but now that I will have a good supply should I increase it until he is able to only take one breast a feed or both still? Also for moms who have taken it, what dosing worked well for you? How long until you saw a good increase? And finally, when you weaned off of them did your supply stay high? TIA!

There is a great thread about domperidone here: http://mothering.com/discussions/sho...461626&page=21

Jack Newman also has some good info: http://www.nbci.ca/index.php?option=...tion&Itemid=17

and about stopping the medication here: http://www.nbci.ca/index.php?option=...tion&Itemid=17

There is no need to work towards feeding only one breast per feed. Many (most?) Mamas feed both breasts at each feed. Some even feed '3' breasts - e.g. Right, Left and then Right again.

I am taking it right now. I found that I need 70mg a day or my supply is too low, dd lets me know. My milk never came in till I started taking it, I think it took a few days, I think I was taking 120mg then. My dd feeds from both sides in a session.

Good luck, I hope it works for you like it works for me.
