A TMI question...

Ok I hope this is ok to ask here, it's TMI and a little embarrassing but I know you ladies are the ones to ask.

I used to enjoy breast/nipple play during sex and so forth, before I got pregnant with DS. At some point during my pregnancy I stopped enjoying it. And now, even though DS is 2.5 and (possibly? almost? fully? pretty much?) weaned (he last nursed a week ago) and I don't think I have any milk left, or very little, I still can't stand to have my DH anywhere NEAR my breasts.

Has anyone else experienced this aversion? Is it psychological or physiological? I was thinking it would go away after DS was no longer nursing all the time, but it didn't. Will it go away when I'm positive he's weaned? After menopause? Anyone want to share their experience?

I actually had an aversion like that to sex entirely until recently. I had a hard time being intimate at all. All I could picture was what my body had gone through (during pregnancy and at birth).

I am almost 15 months PP and very happy to report that I can now put it completly out of my mind. I think it might be psychological.

I think it's both. After nursing my son for 3 1/2 years my nipples never quite regained their sensitivity. A few months after he weaned I no longer had the aversion....but it just wasn't the same anymore....so then I could take it or leave it. Now that I'm nursing again, my nips are once more off limits to DH. It drives me up the wall to have anything that's not the baby touch them.

good to know

I am in the same boat as the op except it happened after I gave birth and my lo is only a year. I also find it interesting that after my first birth(a section) and breastfeeding I had no problems with nipple/breast play yet after my second(VBAC) and also breastfeeding, I haven't had any interest(other than a glimmer) in sex O_o. I should clarify that my second nurses a lot more than my first did.
