Velour at Joann's?

Does anyone know if Joann's or Hancock's regularly carries a velour suitable for diaper-making?

Crushed panne velour(poly) is super stretchy and makes a great wicking inner layer. It is a pitb to sew, but using lots of pins and spraying with spray starch helps immensely.

I buy mine at Joann's since we don't have a Hancock's here.

If you were looking for a cotton velour I would recommend Sewzannes.com. She has a bunch of great colors and super fast shipping.

You're in MN I see, anywhere near the cities or the FM area? If you are, go to Mill end Textiles. I've bought regular cotton velour there in the past.

Thanks everyone! Mamapixie, I didn't even think of Mill End. I'm in NE Mpls. Haven't been there in awhile anyway and now I have an excuse, lol.

Plus if you go there, at least my store(I'm in ND) has cotton swimsuit elastic, which works a lot better for diapers than the stuff you buy at Joann's. I need to go get some more actually.

I like the cotton swimsuit elastic a lot better than elastin, too.
