Do you know your progesterone level?

Just wondering if you know/knew your progesterone level at around 7 weeks and what was it?

I did IVF with my first so my P4 levels were 98 b/c I was progesterone shots...a must with IVF

With #2 it was a surprise natural PG and when tested early on my P4 levels were 19...a drastic difference but this was an unmedicated cycle.

Now when I was doing fertility treatments I was told that the REs want a P4level of at least 15 in order for the pregnancy to be supported...

So I am now PG with #3 and this is a natural PG. I just got my b/w back and my HCG is over 28,000 and my P4 level is 15...my OB swears this is fine and all is great...but it is kinda freaking me out. I feel like I am sitting on the brink...I know I am comparing apples to oranges as to what an RE looks for and what an OB looks for but I'm still a bit stressed.

So I am wondering what others know about their progesterone levels at around 7w...

Hmmm....I can't help with 7 weeks because I'm only 4 weeks along, but my progesterone level was 20.2 when they tested it. I have been taking natural progesterone cream since I O'd though so that may have something to do with it....

If your OB says it's fine, I think you're fine!! Levels vary so much!!

I was on progesterone with both pregnancies so far. This time was a surprise - my levels were 48 at 5 weeks, but by six weeks had dropped to 21, so we started on the injections. With DS1, I started with suppositories, wasn't absorbing enough, and went to the injections. They wanted to keep my levels between 24 and 50.
I have a luteal phase defect, so that is why I need supplementation - I had two miscarriages b/c the corpus luteum on my ovary just poops out in early pregnancy. not to mention sometimes I don't even produce a good endometrium.
If you already had a successful pregnancy with "low" levels, maybe that is just normal for you. There is much disagreement in the medical community over if progesterone supplementation is necessary, and what constitutes a "good" level. I just know that because of my history, I would not go without it - if something happened to my baby, I would forever blame myself, but I do have a known problem.
If you are worried, talk to your RE. The prog won't hurt, and if you feel instinctively that you need it, maybe you do. If your RE won't listen, can you go back to your OB?

OK, here's my history: At 3w6d, it was 38, measured at MWs office. Then at 4w6d, it plummeted to 9.7, taken at RE's office. (this was also a "spontaneous conception" but the RE followed me for a few weeks) I totally panicked. I was already ON progesterone suppositories. They assured me it would be fine with supps, but I added in NPC too in the morning. I didnt get in for 7w bloodwork, since it was during the holiday week here, but at 6w3d, it was 17, and at 8w0d, it was 30. Around 9w, it was in the 40s, and now we stopped measuring it, since I'm in the 15th week here... and just hoping that all stays well.

If you're not comfortable, ask if your RE could prescribe supplementation of some sort. There are more REs and OBs who believe that supplementation does work than there are who don't. And, as hard as it is, please try to relax. and ask your care provider to help you out. most times, they want mom's to be happy and stress free.

Oh, and CONGRATULATIONS!!!
