Under what circumstances do you discard a temp?

Friday night I forgot to turn the heat down before going to bed, so I slept with the heat set much higher than normal, 75 degrees, whereas I normally turn it down to 62 or so at night. Added to that, my bedmate slept quite literally, on top of me, as I was on my belly and he was sleeping on my back. That was CD 10. If I discard that temp, FF gives me an O day of CD 13, even though I normally O at CD 18. Should I discard it or leave it?

ETA: the discarded temp was 97.92 F, without it, cover line is 97.79

Do you have a link to your chart?

Normally I do not discard any temps until after I would have normally O'd. Then I only discard temps that are obvious outliers.

I second the request for a chart link.

I try not to discard temps, sometimes I purposely check the "sleep deprived" box in the symptoms on FF so that it will give me a white dot that I know might be out of place.

I think that you would need to look at your overall chart to see the pattern, at the very least I guess go with the earlier O date and plan on AF, if she doesn't show then move the O date to your second possiblity and wait it out again. I had to do this recently with a crazy chart I had.

I think you are following the same pattern as your comparison cycle. You also had a temp spike on CD10 with that cycle. So I don't think you O'd yet. I'm thinking compared to your other cycle, you'll O tonight/tomorrow.

If I'm sick with a fever or have a temp that is obviously waaaay off.

TBH, there are not enough pre-O temps on your chart to justify discarding that one. There's no way to know if it's an anomaly or not.

I un-discarded the CD10 temp and was given an O day of CD 14 by FF this morning. So, either way, I ovulated pretty early this cycle.

Ff is basing that on today's high temp. But you are geting dotted crosshairs because there isn't any cm or opk info. Comparing to your past cycle I think you o'd yesterday though.
