This show has been a favorite of mine since its first season and he was one of my favorite captains.
He was Capt. of the crab boat Cornelia Marie.
He suffered a stroke about 2 weeks ago while off loading crab and died 2 days ago.

I was very sad when I read this on CNN. Rest in peace, Phil. I hope his family is okay.
