Twenty Years ago today

My father died suddenly.
It's been twenty years.
It changed who I am.
It changed the path of my life.
I grew up without him.
He died suddenly with no warning.
I feel like I want to say something,
but twenty years on it just seems dramatic.
Or at least I worry that is what people will think.

Wow your words echo true, every one of them. Very eloquently put. In two months it will be twenty years for me also. It was sudden also. I was 14. It changed everything forever. He visits me in my dreams. About a week ago he came to meet my daughter and the love we felt was real. I find great comfort in his visitacions and hope you can experience the same.
