Pattern from Itty Bitty Hats

Do you have this book? I just returned it to the library (as Interlibrary loan so it will take while to get access to it again) and realized I need a jog to my memory for one of the hats.

There is a hat simple hat that is a rectangle folded in half with appliqued circles and little pom poms attached to the points at the top of the hat. I cannot recall how to make the darn circles (dots I think she calls them in the book). Cast on 3 stitches, 2nd row: kfb (?) knit and then I'm lost.

Anyone have the book? Or....can tell me what to do?

On't have the book but there are man people on ravelry who do by the looks of it. here is the pattern page maybe post the question in their forum?
It looks like it is a slightly ruffled circle so my guess would be
c/o 3
kfab all stitches (6)
kfab all stitches (12)
kfab1 k1 around
kfab 1 k2 around etc

if its not ruffled
c/o3
kfab around
kfab k1 around etc

But thats just me guessing

Thanks for guessing!

That does not sound like what I did (I already completed one hat....) but just may work. The dots are not ruffled so I'll try the second option you give first. Otherwise ruffled dots could be darling as well.

I'm somewhat embarrassed to say I have no idea how to post a question on Ravelry.

I have the book. There are different sizes. Here's the pattern for the medium dot. Let me know if you want a dif. size.

co 3
row 1: knit in the front and back of the first stitch, knit 1 stitch, knit in the front and back of the last stitches. 5 stitches
row 2-4: knit all stiches
row 5: slip 1 st, slip 1 st, knit 2 slipped stiches together through the back lops, knit 1 st, knit 2 st tog, 3 stitches remain.
bind off

That's it! I think I can fake it well enough for the large and small as this jogged my memory enough.

thank you!

I you go to forums you should have a few standard ones, one is called patterns, right next to the word pattern it says start a topic click on that fill in the fields required (sunject tags and the question) and click on start topic.
