Andrew's already accomplished -
  • peeing on mommy
  • peeing on daddy
  • peeing on the couch
  • peeing on the wall near the changing table
  • filling a diaper with a HUGE amount of poop, right after a diaper with a HUGE amount of poop was changed
post #2 of 22
Emily has mastered all those skills as well...except for peeing on the wall...her projectile peeing leaves a lot to be desired.

Our sweet little girl baby has peed on us more than all 3 of our boys combined! She is also able to consistently sneeze 5 times in a row, belch and toot like a frat boy and smile at everyone but her momma.

Sophie projectile pooped on her daddy and our couch last week. She can also spit up like no one's business.

At almost 6 weeks we mastered
peeing on mommy
peeing on daddy
peeing on the bed
peeing out of the diaper onto just changed jammies (many many times), mommy has learned to turn the "nozzle" the right way, or else
spitting up all over everything (you name it, we spit up on it)
projectile pooping off the changing table onto the floor (just narrowly missing an open drawer with mommy's clean clothes)
pooping on mommy
getting french kissed by a dog
peeing on the dog
peeing all over the diaper that was being opened thus rendering it unusable
filling a just changed diaper
turning to look at things without letting go of the boobie (ouch)

we have also mastered
looking at lights
turning towards interesting sounds

making lots of progress on
pooping in the tub when the diaper comes off (yay ec!)
holding the head up
smiling at mommy but not anyone else
sticking the tongue out back at mommy
standing for a few seconds with support

My personal favorite check-off was when we were still in the hospital. Let me just set up the scenario for you:

I am standing up - in my hospital gown with blood all over the back and too lazy to tie it up. I was on my way to pee (keep that in mind) and walking at a snail's pace. So my husband decided to change Griffin's dipe and it was full of uber sticky mec...so he hollars for help. I stop and start cleaning him up, but I have to pee *so bad* that I'm trying to rush...and G let's out another HUGE mec poop right all over the place since he was now sans dipe. I started laughing so hard that I could feel the pee coming out and had to run to the bathroom...leaving my old man in a state of panic.

It totally reminded me of that sposie commercial where the little boy pees all over the room and dad just tosses the dipe back on!

these are awesome, but Angela that takes the cake! lmao!!!

my dear baby is actually quite coy with his 'fire hose' and hasn't peed on nearly as much stuff/people as his older brother did (who even gave the doctor a hose down at his 2-mo appointment. Guess that's what happens when you squeeze his balls!). We have certainly mastered the following sequence: coo, smile, spit up copious amounts, then smile some more. Finally also mastered the blow-out in the carseat (yippee!).

OMG Angela! THat's so funny!

Holly has projectile pooped, and peed all over herself twice (although as a girl she doesn't get the distance a boy does ). She has spit up in some creative ways too and lately is into the whole "milk coming out of your nose" thing. She's blown out a diaper or 2 as well!

Oh my gosh what fun! Okay I can join in!

Bella has:

ICKY stuff...
  • Peed on me HUGELY twice, soaking the front of my pants like I'd peed myself.
  • Been on the changing pad, diaper open and farted and sprayed my hand with poop from about 7 inches away!
  • Mastered the art of the up-the-back-out-the-side poo, no matter the size of the dipe or the method of putting it on - that poo finds the path of least resistance and *POW* (we went through three little outfits yesterday in the space of three hours!)...
  • Projectile puked over my friend and my couch at the same time. Luckily that was a one time thing...har har!

CUTE stuff...
  • Become very good at tracking, not just with her eyes but with her whole head!
  • Really become fab at holding her head up - she now does this for extended periods on my chest. She's too curious to just lay there...
  • Mastered smiling! She does these huge, open mouthed grins and often in the early morning, is full of them!
  • Started to laugh a bit when awake - but still does most of her giggling asleep...
  • Really discovered how to suck on her hands, but at the moment doesn't manage to pop the thumb out independently very often.
  • Coos an awful lot - really making some sweet noises!
  • Talks to us all, by sticking her tongue out and opening her mouth in funny expressions and waiting for us to copy her - that is fun!
  • Holds her head up in the sling!

I love being a mommy!!!

These are great.

At 3 1/2 weeks little miss Hannah has managed to pee through her diaper and into her car seat, poop and pee on mama and daddy while being changed, but most impressive is the sheer amount of spit up that has come from one tiny little body. She has spit up on everything, everywhere. One of the most comedic (to DH anyway) was when she spit up on me when I was not wearing a shirt and it pooled in my belly button. Yummy.

She is very alert when awake, always scowling because a) she is the world's most irritated baby, or b) is a seriously deep thinker. I am pretty sure it is B, because she smiles like crazy in her sleep. Big gummy smiles that let me know she is one happy girl (and if one more old person tells me it is just gas....). She is starting to grin at us and it feels like we are sooo close to real social smiling. I think she has dimples like her daddy

She tracks people full on, will turn her head to the sound of my voice (side note: I LOVE being the mommy, the one that everyone turns the crying baby to because I know how to fix it and what she wants, the one that baby wants the most, and now that it is getting easier I am loving being the food source and watching her get chubby on my milk ).

The biggest thing on her to do list is making about every person who meets her fall madly in love with her. She can make the saddest little frown faces that make even the coldest hearts melt and the people who supposedly don't like babies do anything to make her happy. She's a charmer and I'd say we are in trouble.

Haha love reading these lists!

So far, at 6.5 weeks, Skylar has accomplished the following!
    • Peed on the couch and our bed
    • Peed on DP and I - I had no idea baby girls could projectile pee!!
    • Spit up (but only about 1/2 a dozen times or so...not a big spit upper as I thought she was going to be after the first few times)
    • LOVES looking at lights
    • Tracks our faces and turns to our voices or other noises she likes
    • Got baby acne
    • Starting to lose her hair a bit - wondering if it will grow back a different colour!
    • Smiles at us
    • Smiles randomly and laughs often
    • Learned to put her little hand in her mouth - so cute
    • Coos and makes happy sounds
    • Very strong at holding her head up (loves tummy time)

I call Emily the Gassy Lassy. She has like grown up sized toots and burps...she could make a sailor blush!

She has also been building up her poops lately into one giant blow out a day...she just completely filled the potty to the brim! I am impressed that much poop fit in her tiny bowels.

She must be getting enough to eat!

BTW, I SOOOO wish we had a dog right now...Id love to see that!

we have another good one - scream like mad as soon as mom hurriedly puts all the items she was considering back and hurries to get through the large store with a cart then calm down immediately and go to sleep before she even enters the car.
Make daddy bounce on the exercise ball until his legs stop working.
Smile like mad as mommy turns you into "laundry" - I put him on top of clean laundry to carry the basket upstairs and he thought it was hilarious.
Spit up inside the sling - yuk!

On the positive side Sasha has become a smiling monster - he has adorable gummy smiles especially if he hasn't seen the person for a while. He is starting to really giggle too when he is happy. Of course he has mastered his little angry face a long time ago.
He has almost mastered the head control - he is one strong little man.
We're making a lot of progress with EC - he actually tries to poop almost every time we take him to the bathroom. Sometimes not much comes out, but he tries.

Olivia followed Ina May's sphincter law yesterday. She was laying naked on the changing table when suddenly she sneezed and sprayed some poop at Mommy at the same time. It really made me laugh but poor Lenchen got upset over this unexpected action of hers!

Mawood - LOL!

Ben has a huge talent for pooping immediately in any fresh diaper, if not on the changing table.

Me and his Dad have gotten much better at getting the new diaper under him *very* quickly. So in response he pooped in the tub right at the end of his bath. I'm just happy I wasn't in there with him.

He also likes to spit up on any fresh outfit. Just like his big brother!

He spit up down the front of my nursing bra and filled up the whole thing, lol.

How did moms survive in the days before indoor plumbing? Lots of showers and laundry happening around here...
