Valentine's day dinner anyone?

Anyone having a special Valentine's day dinner?

We're having crock pot barbecue country-style ribs with baked potatoes and asparagus. We'll start with a salad and finish with strawberries that we're dipping in chocolate. This was a "consensus" menu and includes at least one fav for everyone in the family! We'll be outside most of the day so we wanted a cozy meal!

I'm making a chicken pot pie. It is also a family favorite and I haven't made one in a while so we settled on that

For dessert I am making little heart shaped mini pies a la Martha (they are sort of like turnovers - not in a pan). Filled with pears and raspberries.

I might make German Chocolate cookies as well if I can find the time (but I'm not telling anyone jic I don't get to it today!).

Chicken Oscar with garlic mashed potatoes and whatever veg the kids decide on. Chocolate fudge and/or banana splits for dessert.

I wanted crab legs but was outvoted.

We only have a 4mo DD so she doesn't get a vote. I'm doing a new Tilapia recipe over linguini and little broccoli tarts - apple crisp for desset - DP's favorite. And sweet pototo soup for lunch.

We had a V-day breakfast. I might cook up a rib eye for dinner with some blue cheese and maybe some potatoes, but I haven't decided for sure yet.

Lemon herb pork tenderloin, roasted red potatoes, and asparagus. :-) I also baked a cake for Dh's valentine's day gift.

I had a special v-day breakfast planned but then ended up taking ds to the ER this morning (strep). Dinner is homemade lasagna (sauce has been cooking in the crockpot all day). Will probably do garlic bread and a salad too. Desert is chocolate covered strawberries.

No idea what ds will eat because he doesn't like any of those foods. Hopefully he'll feel like eating *something* though. Maybe some popsicles.

Roast Beef, Lemon Orzo with Parsely, Asparagus, Cheesecake and wine.

Penne with vodka sauce and garlic bread. I make a pink vanilla cake for dessert.

I really really want asparaguas to go with it, but really really don't want to go to the store.

We are going out with the kids, and my parents, and I'm going to eat way too much. It's a nice local fair restaurant and I haven't had someone cook for me in a really long time that I didn't at least help, or clean the kitchen. I am VERY excited

Mine and DH's tradition is a picnic in the park after dark.

We usually get sandwiches from a gourmet grocer but since I am avoiding white flour right now we made our own. Turkey, cranberry chutney and lettuce and peanut butter and mixed berry jam on Genesis 1:29 bread. A side of Kettle Cooked Death Valley Chipotle chips (a treat!) and we made chocolate dipped strawberries for dessert. It's always fun.

dp got a bunch of crab...which was delicious dipped in butter and we steamed some broccoli to go with it.

now he is baking some salmon and will use that with the leftover crab to make chowder.

Lots of asparagus here! I love asparagus, but wouldn't make it for Valentine's Day, because dh doesn't like it.

We were out all day, and I didn't cook. We ended up ordering in Indian, instead.

Sure! I'd be happy to. I'll post it tomorrow, as I have to actually write the recipe first. I kinda made it up as I went along and took notes, but I need to get them all down in a logical way so I can make it again.

We had a big family breakfast, bacon, eggs, pumpkin pancakes and cantaloupe. Supper was meatloaf, heart shaped of course, artichoke and mashed potatoes.
