1 + but 2 negative at 10 dpo???(added photo and update)

This afternoon after church, I got an absolute, came up within less than a minute. positive on a FRER (it was a white wrapper one, btw) It's not super dark, but no doubt about it being pink and positive.

But then tonight about 2 hours after dinner, I took an EPT and another IC and they were both negative.

I also took an IC this morning with FMU that was negative.

I was feeling so happy all afternoon and now, not so much. I'm pretty sure I ovulated late in the evening, so technically wasn't really at the 10 dpo mark until this evening.

I know the only way I'll know, is to retest, which I will of course tomorrow, but any reassurances appreciated.

The top photo is the white wrapper FRER from yesterday.

The other 3 are from today. The EPT was middle of the night , and the FRER was 3.5 hours later (6:00 a.m.) and the IC was 2 hours later(8:00 a.m.) (it's really hard to see, but there is actually a pink line on it too that came up within the time)

if your urine was more dilute after dinner than that could be why you got BFNs.
also i'd trust a FRER over a IC anyday.

I agree with finnegansmom! Dilute urine can be a big factor. I also put more faith in FRERs. When I was newly pregnant with DD, I took an IC I had laying around three days after my first obvious positive with an Answer and absolutely panicked because it was so faint. A quick trip to the drugstore and an Answer test later, I was reassured with a nice, dark line.

You're pregnant!! I got a TOTALLY obvious BFP on a white wrapper FRER at 10 DPO and at 11 DPO got a baaaarely visible 2nd line on an IC (Aimstick) that showed up after the time limit. And I'm most definitely preggo! My hCG was 376 by 13 DPO!

Thanks, I think it my heart I knew that, but you know how it goes.....lol. I had been to Starbucks and had a Grande Latte(yea, tsk tsk) and than had water with dinner, so I'm sure that was it. I tested again with another FRER and it was still +++ so definitely not a fluke or anything.

Yea, I don't put much faith in the IC, especially after I got a +++ this time at 6 dpo with one, and then the rest were all stark white...lol.

But the EPT had me a bit upset, because before all the negativity about blue dye tests, I used them and got early +++s. I'm hoping for a nice dark test in the next few days, but I did get a second +++ on a FRER so feeling cautious but excited.

Oh wow, that makes me feel so good. I did take a second FRER(it was a pink wrapper one though, only had one of those white babies left) but it was definitly positive and came up really fast just like the other one.

So totally !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Where in the HECK do you find WHITE wrapper FRER's??? All I have found is pink...does it say it on the box???

YES!!!!!!!! Congrats!! I know how it is to need confirmation from a 2nd (and 3rd and 4th) tests even when the 1st one was very much a BFP! I'm so glad you got two pink lines and a whole lot of blue lines!!!

Are you due in October like I am?!

ETA: Jennifer, I just buy the regular First Response tests at Walmart and they're white wrappers. I don't even know what the difference is between them and the pink... Are the white ones more sensitive? Less?

The pink wrappers are the new ones that say "6 days before missed period" instead of the old ones that said "5 days before missed period" i guess they have tweeked them to try to make them more sensitive or something. I noticed it after I picked up the box and got it home a couple of days ago. I had never seen the pink wrappers until then and had only heard about them on here. But that's my guess...they changed their "chemical structure" to recognize the Hcg a day earlier and then decided to change the color of the wrapper.
