Anyone else in? I'm aiming for 4. I lost 5 this month! Granted, 4 of it was Christmas gain that took 3 weeks to lose, but I'm happy and motivated to continue! Anyone else feel the challenge?

Excellent! What's your plan? Mine is to continue to track on SparkPeople and to make 10k steps a day.

Hi there I would like to join. I am going to aim at loosing 5 pounds in 5 weeks. So by the 22nd of March I hope to see that arrow at 160 pounds.

Here is my quick intro.
Candice here. I am 165 pounds. Back at the end of 2005 I was 205 pounds (about size 20). The most I had ever weighed. (even pregnant I never got to 200) I lost 65 pounds by March of 2007 and kept it off for 20 months. I had some stress and minor depression that caused me to "fall off the wagon". I gained back 40 pounds of the 65 lost. I got back on the wagon at the beginning of the year.

Here is how I will reach my goal...
I am getting back to Sparks (I took three days off, yikes) and track my calories. I will go to the Y to work out three times a week and I will get active at home. I will drink at lest 10 glasses of water a day.

I'm in!! I would love to lose 4 or 5 by mid-March! I'm still holding onto 5lbs of baby weight, and I think I've gained a few lbs over the past month. This time of the year is always hard for me to get in exercise.
I'll come back to post my plan in a bit!

This is going to be great. I just put in what I expect to eat today into sparks; it's dh's birthday, so I put in what I am making for dinner. Although the calories are over, I have taken two long walks today, so my differential for the day is still 426 in my favor, so I'm good!

Welcome greenbeing and candipooh! It will be fun to do this together. Well, maybe not "fun" but more fun than...I'm not getting anywhere with this!

This has been a good week. I have been keeping up with the eating portion of my diet and I have been going to the Y to workout. I was only able to go for 30 minutes last night but it still felt great. Almost 3 miles on the Elliptical.

I also have not gotten on the scale. That is actually pretty huge for me. I usually get on every single morning and ever sometimes during the day. I am forcing myself to wait til Fridays.

Wow, candipooh! Congrats on your big loss! Even though you gained a bit back, it looks like you're well on your way to getting it off again! That's awesome!

I've been sick this week, though I did manage to get in some exercise on Sunday and Monday. I'm going to try to get in 3 days a week of weights and at cardio. I'm going to go no sugar this week. We'll see how that goes.

I'm down a little bit but it's not weigh in day yet. I've been doing pretty well with my 10k steps and eating well. This should pay off.

I'd like to join! I have about 5 more pounds to lose (mostly I need to tone) before spring time. I've been belly dancing and doing pilates almost every day. I've been logging on Spark people.

Thanks green. I feel like I failed by gaining so much of it back. But it is hard. It will always be hard. I will struggle with my addictive/emotional eating for my entire life. I just need to stay on the wagon and put myself first. It really is worth it.

I am actually looking forward to weigh myself tomorrow.

Hi Kittywitty! With a routine like that, you're sure to succeed
I'm battling boredom eating today. So I'm eating salad. I like salad anyways

I love salad. I know what's on my shopping list for tomorrow! I've been trying to eat more fruits & veggies. We've been broke for awhile, so it's been mainly canned stuff lately. Ew.

I have been wondering about sprouting things to make big salads a little cheaper and more protein rich. Like, lentil sprouts, how cheap is that? Also, a little shredded cabbage goes a long way. We have a pretty cheap grocery chain here and I can buy one of those huge bags of mesclun mix for 3.99 so I've been doing that.

I meant to put my start weight and goal weight in at the start. I started 136 and want to be 132 by the day Brutus assasinates Julius Caesar. No connection I lost 15 lbs with Weight Watchers last year after the baby and got to 137 (5 lbs below my prepreg weight), the goal they gave me and maintained for 9 months until Christmas. I gained 4 lbs over the holiday in CA and came home and lost all that and am now 1 below that. The reason for wanting to lose weight is that I've been on the heavy side of normal most of my life; I'm the only non-obese person in my immediate family. I have felt guilty about that for some strange reason, and that guilt has held me back from being truly "thin", something I'd finally like to do for myself. Really, it is just for me, for my vanity and because I think I will like it! not because I am unhealthy. And at 132, I won't be superthin anyways. I may decide to go further, we'll see! But it's silly to be 1 month and a little willpower away from a goal and just not do anything about it, now isn't it?

I had my weigh-in on Friday. I was a little nervous. I had been weighing myself every single day but this time I had gone almost a week. But it was a GOOD week. I really pushed myself at the Y. I fell in love with the Elliptical.
The scale said that I lost my goal weight in one week. (goal was 5 pounds in 5 weeks) It doesn't seem real but I will take it!! I am 160 pounds.

With the 'mid Jan to Feb 14th loose 5' thread I did great at first and the went to a screeching halt. So I do not expect to loose much more in the next week or so. If I do then great, but if I just keep it at 5 pounds lost then I am fine with it. (or I will try to keep telling myself that I am fine with it,lol)

I am nervous to set another goal for the rest of the 5 weeks so I will just say that I am going to push myself as hard as I did last week and hope for the best. I will go to the Y 4 times next week. I will drink at least 10 glasses of water. I will eat 4 small meals a day and tract my calories on sparks.

I'm in!

I've lost 10 since January, but I have a long way to go. (at least 60-preferably 100) I've been doing WW and walking... but have had a setback since I had surgery last week and can't really work out till I have my stitches out next week.

I'm doing upper body, though.

I would like to lose 5 by 3/15, but I will be happy with 3.

I'm definitely in!

Losing 5 pounds at this point in the month might seem a little crazy; but I've been meaning to really start hacking away at my weight loss. :]

That's great Candipooh!

Mom0810-I hope you feel better. You've already made progress! Congrats!

Candipooh, that's so awesome!

Welcome everyone

I re-fractured an old break in my foot Friday, like a stress fracture. I'm nervous about not getting the exercise that I'm obviously going to be missing now. I hope that I can watch the food intake and still be on track.

Rosemary S-F, you and me both, as far as the exercise restriction. Let's just do what we can and we'll get there! Any activity is better than no activity and we'll just watch what we are eating really carefully.
