1-5 Pounds by the Ides of March (march 15) - Page 3

I am in!!!

I want to lose 5lbs this month in time for my birthday which is April 1st!
I guess I will shot for 1-2lbs by March 15th.
I have kept telling myself I am going to lose this extra 5-10lbs since Jan and now I really want to do it, I am sick of the extra flab. I will post my weight tomorrow morning as I have not weighed myself. I am guessing I am 110?

I am going to check in here daily and post so I am accountable or otherwise I think I may lose motivation again.

Here is my exercise plan:

Mon:
Treadmill 15 mins & yoga

Tue:
Push ups, sit up and pull ups

Wed:
Treadmill 30 mins

Thur:
Treadmill 30 mins & push ups, sit up and pull ups

Fri:
Treadmill 30 mins & yoga

Sat:
Treadmill 30 mins & push ups, sit up and pull ups

Today I did my 15 mins of treadmill and went to my 1 hour yoga class! My food intake was alright as well.

How did everyone else do today?
I totally forgot to get on the wiifit today so I am not sure about my weight.
Anyways, today went good and I am just about to do my exercises.
How is everyone else doing, or am I all alone on this thread? LOL
post #44 of 103
Not alone! I did...nothing. But I did control my eating and yesterday I did an hour of circuit training and an hour of stretches/light aerobics as well. I'm feeling a little distraught like I'll never make progress. But I'm not giving up yet! I at least have more energy.

Sorry I invited you over here and then went into silent mode. I'm here. I check it a lot. Sounds like you're doing great!

I took a very long walk with ds and the boy I watch yesterday, plus another shorter one later, so according to my pedometer, I burned over 500 calories walking. According to sparkpeople, my caloric deficit was a little over 700 calories, which puts me in good shape (I had a richer dinner than usual, or it would have been more.) AF is coming Friday, so I am trying not to weigh and get disappointed by water weight. I should see a drop after she leaves.

Kitty, is it just a hard time to be trying to do this? Your workout seems good. What are your goals today?

I'm just very stressed out, but I've been doing pretty good exercising and eating better than usual. Just a little frustrating to be doing well and not losing vs. not even trying and weighing less a year ago. KWIM? I'm doing the NMTZ video today and maybe belly dance if my toddler sleeps.

My toddler HATES when I exercise--even dancing!!! He clings to my legs and demands to be picked up.

Mine does that sometimes. More often she wants to sit on my stomach while I do crunches, help pull my head up, or use *my* mat, etc.

Ah yes, our little helpers.
Sometimes she is helpful when she sits on my feet and I do crunches. Makes it easier!

I tried Samba and Capoiera today. Holy moley they're hard. I mean HARD. I gave up on Samba about 10 minutes into trying. It is NOT a beginner video. Even with belly dance experience, I was totally lost. The Capoiera was really cool, though. I want to find a class someday. It's intense but fun. My 9 yo and I did the technique part a few times, plus the warm up and one routine. My butt is kicked! I also did 30DS level 1 again today. I think I'll try Capoiera again tomorrow and belly dance and set the Samba aside for another time.

I did not do very well today.
Had to nanny later than usual and got home late and did not have time to exercise, well I could have but I feel wiped out and I do not want to make myself sick. Food intake was on the verge of being bad, too much sugar.

Tomorrow is another day!

Sorry I disappeared from this thread. I had started to go to the Y to work out and decided to jump on their scale. They have the professional Dr. office type scale and I figured it was more accurate than mine. So I jumped on. I had figured it would weigh me a little more than my scale at home. Perhaps 3-4 pounds. Nope, it weighed me 11 pounds more than my scale at home. I was so upset at first. So did I start the year out weighing 11 pounds more than I thought I was? How much have I really lost??
I am mostly ok with it now. So I have to loose 11 pounds more than I thought. I can do it. I feel great. I have been really hitting the gym hard. I usually get on the Elliptical for 30 minutes (a little over 3 miles) and then work either my upper body or lower body on the machines.
It was a week ago today that I weighted myself at the gym. I had a fantastic week of eatting and working out. I am excited to weigh myself again but I will be happy even if I haven't lost because I feel great.

Feb. 25 171 pounds
Short term goal 166 by the end of March
Long term goal Goal 140 pounds (or a size 10) by Oct. 14th

That's rough! What a shocker. Your outlook on it is good, though. Do you like the elliptical? I have bad knees, so I've always been afraid to try it.

I did NMTZ and 15 minutes of belly dance today. Weight/measurements aren't budging. Am I going to have to eat only celery for a month to see a difference?

Count me in!

need to loose at least 3-5 this month.

I have been walking 2 mi when it is not raining, last week it snowed and rained 5 outta 7 days! I also have cut my 3-5 cup a day coffee habit to 1 a day. milk, splenda not cream/reg sug.
No starches,or pasta for the past week. mostly portion control, upping the vegi's,fresh/frozen. never canned. I am having a hard time with my soda cut back, I am a huge soda drinker. any tips?

I am 157, 5' 3" and have been stuck there for about 2 mos. .

I was thinking of getting wii fit for the days I can't make it outside.

For pop-what about sparkling water drinks? Mix a little juice (50/50) to start off with some and work your way down? Plus, force yourself to drink a glass of water before you reach for that pop-less likely to drink more.

I did week 1 day 1 of C25K today. The weather was less frigid than the past week, so my 9 yo and I got out and ran. I feel better! I also accidently took an hour nap. Last night, too. I think all this exercise is catching up with me!

I do do the 50/50 mix.... just when i am out I need to remember to bring something with me. I own enough containers you think I would remember to bring them with me? Never.

For exercise and the nap!

I gained a pound.
Kitty I really do love the Elliptical. You burn way more calories than with the treadmill. Sorry about the 1 pound gain.

I got on that dang scale at the Y again. It had been one week from the shocking weigh-in that put me 11 pounds more than I thought I was. I had a great week. A total of 12 miles on the Elliptical and over 2 hours total on weights. I also did GREAT with my calories and drinking my water. It was a great week so why oh why did I not loose anything!!!!!!

It is so interesting how different body types fit into sizes. When I was a 140 pounds I was between a size 10 and 12. Size 10 is my goal. I will have to be under 140 to get to that.
