moms of more than one - was nursing the same experience for you?

I know that each baby is going to make each nursing experience different, my question is was nursing mostly the same for you the mom? For example if you had oversupply, low supply, OALD, what have you with #1 did you experience that/those same thing(s) with #2, or 3 or 4?

With DD I never leaked a drop of milk ever. I also discovered that I had a condition where my milk had too much lipase in it and would go bad really quickly - I had to scald the milk to stop the process:

I also never really responded well to the pump - never got more than a few ozs at a time.

Just wondering if I can expect the same things the next time around...

With my first, we had latch issues for awhile since he didn't get a chance to nurse until about 6-8 hours after I had him(emergency csection) Everything finally worked itself out in a few weeks. I went back to work at 12 weeks and was barely able to keep up pumping enough for him.

Second time around, I didn't have any latch issues whatsoever, since he was nursing within 30 minutes of delivery. I was also tandem nursing with my oldest as well. I had a huge oversupply this time around. By the time I went back to work 12 weeks later, I had about 900 oz in the freezer--all either extracted by hand or with a hand pump. Pumping at work was crazy--I would get between 24-40 oz when only pumping for 5 minutes 3 times a day, and he would only consume 8-12 ounces at the most when I was at work. Needless to say, I ended up filling up my freezer quite fast and donated milk 3 or 4 times.

I'm currently 12 weeks preggo and I wonder if I will have even more milk this time around. I don't plan on going back to work so don't plan on using the electric pump unless needed.

My experiences were very different, but I did have unusual circumstances with my first, which I'm sure contributed greatly. But FWIW, here's my story.

DS was a preemie and I had to EP for the first 2 months, then mostly pump while we worked on introducing the breast for another month. My supply was adequate, but not great, and I rarely got more than 3 ounces when I pumped. I never sprayed and rarely leaked.

With DD, she was full term and started nursing when she was about an hour old. My supply is much better this time. I started pumping when she was 2 weeks old, and it's unusual for me to get less than 5 ounces when I pump, even at night. I leaked pretty regularly for about the first 4 months, and I still spray if she pops off (though I've stopped randomly spraying, like in the shower).

My experience was largely the same with my two and I'm expecting more of the same with this one. Similar to yours, actually -- never used a breast pad because I never leaked (except the once during DS1's first long stretch sleeping when I had a very vivid dream about nursing him); never got much from a pump. Don't think I had a lipase issue as DSs happily drank bottles that had been in the fridge say, over a long weekend.
