Short version: would eating tomatoes/tomato sauce cause an upset tummy in a baby 12 hours later or would the symptoms show up sooner?
Long version:Around 11 months my son woke up shrieking like he was in pain 2-3 times. The connecting thread I found in his food that day was always tomato sauce. So we cut out tomatoes.
Fast forward to now, 13 going on 14 months. We slowly introduced small amounts of tomatoes back into his diet. Now he eats spaghetti with sauce at daycare regularly for lunch with no issue, he loves salsa, pizza etc. But last night my normally 10-11 hour sleeper woke up 12 hours after eating a HUGE pasta with sauce lunch shrieking in pain again. The amount he ate is maybe twice as much as he would normally eat because he napped through lunch and woke up famished.
My question is: could it be the tomatoes that are causing this if the reaction is so far after when he ate them, or is it likely that it is something else?
