Hello, excited to be here...some questions about signature and forums

Hi everyone,

I'm thrilled to become part of such a vibrant, knowledgeable community! I have a few questions right off the bat:

1. How can I add all those fun emoticons to my signature? It says I am only allowed to add one, but I see others with a whole bunch??

2. If I subscribe to a thread but don't want it emailed to me all the time, where do the new posts show up, how can I access them easily?

3. Is there an easy way to check on who has responded to my posts?

4. What are the 'groups' on here? I'd love to be part of some kind of online small group. How do I do that?

Hello and welcome to MDC!

Try the user control panel and "testing 1-2-3", at least some of your questions should get an answer there.

The number of emoticons depends on your member status. I think once you've hit the 100 posts milestone you'll become a "member" instead of a "new member" which will allow you 4 or 5 emoticons.

For groups, check out the different threads - according to your main areas of interest. Maybe you're interested in "Finding your tribe" (connecting with people geographically close to you).

I think proudmomof4 answered most of your questions. You can also repost this in questions and suggestions and see what they say. If you click on your user name and check out statistics, you can find all posts by you. That is one way to follow your posts but if you post often, then defs subscribe to the ones you want to follow.
