How did you decide what kind of booklet to do?

We're tearing out our hair over this!

So we have the text, we have the pictures. We can't decide if we want to do a more homey looking scrapbook type thing (which will take FOREVER) or a professionally printed, spiral bound kind (easier for us as we have the software to do it). Our agency had both kinds submitted and really couldn't tell us if clients preferred one over the other.

How did you decide? I think either will cost about the same amount so that isn't really an issue.

We had to submit our birthmother letter in a very set format - 8.5" X 17" printed sideways and folded in half. The style of it all could be whatever we wanted (more scrap-book and crafty or whatever). We were told that many of the women she works with are quite young (teenagers), and so offered feedback on our letter based on what she typically sees them react to.

You should probably do what reflects who you are more. If you are into scrap booking and you plan on making scrap books for your child, etc, then go with that as it reflects your style. If you are more likely to approach a project like this by doing it on the computer, etc, then do that. Some people will find the scrap book more appealing and some will like the more streamlined computer printed one more.
