Does it make any difference if you orgasm before or after ejaculation? I usually do before, but since I am TTC, I was just wondering?

My understanding is it doesn't matter when or if you do. Good luck!

Some people say it aides the sperm if you have orgasmed....not sure if it matters if it's before or after.

An orgasm makes the cervix dip down and supposedly scoop up the swimmers so it is better to try and orgasm (and preferably just after he does).

O'ing before ejaculation also makes you more likely to have a boy (so they say..changes the acidity of the vagina I guess....I have a boy so it worked for me lol.

arousal fluid is very similar to EWCM so being aroused and "wet" while he ejaculates and afterward is good for the swimmers, and they think that the woman orgasm after ward may help push sperm towards the cervix.

since for me be is so much more pleasant after i o, we do it in that order most times, sometimes in my most fertile time, we will give me one more after, but thats often just because i'm randy, the fertility benefits are just a good side effect.

i am personally a big believer in doing what feels right to your and your partner fist and foremost, if you are doing things that seem strange or forced just because you think they might help, it may start to seem like work.

Orgasms do not increase/decrease your chances of PG in any way. They also will not help you get a particular sex child. The fluids in the ejaculate keep the sperm safe from the vaginal hostility. I recommend you have you orgasm when you can as as much as you can. Anything that comes out of the vagina post coidal is just CM and seminal fluid. The sperm are deposited in or near the seminal pool where they sit coagulated for approximately 10 minutes. You are not going to lose anything.

though I agree with most of what you said. This part seems a bit to black and white to me. I doubt we ( or the specialists know nearly enough about the wonders of the body to proclaim "in any way" about these things.

But yeah I can surely support the OP not fretting over this issue, have fun!

i did several times before he came... cant tell you if its a boy or girl yet... but it certainly didnt hurt our chances of conception!!!

I'm not certain of the accuracy of the information, but I too read somewhere that if you orgasm after he ejaculates, the contraction of the uterus can help the swimmers get to where they need to be faster.

Quote:
The sperm can be welcomed or unwelcomed (to use a metaphor), but in any case, if the sexual act places the woman in a relaxed and stressless condition, her uterine contractions (in response to the freshly deposited sperm) will actually propel the sperm quickly towards the fallopian tubes where awaits a fertile ovum (or egg).

I personally try to orgasm after dh when ttc, I think it helps get the sperm where they need to go. However I wouldn't hesitate to go first either. And if I don't at all, sometimes I will do kegals for good measure.

Well I thought one of nature's purposes of orgasm was to help bring the sperm to where it needs to go. Not saying you can't get pregnant without an orgasm, just that I think it may be helpful to orgasm after the male has.
