Sickie Toddler

oh sickie sickie baby, it is sooo heartbreaking to see your child to be so miserable. my son started coughing on thurs and running fever on fri, and it has been getting progressively worse. last night was the first night since he was born (he is 1 yo) that we actually stayed up and couldnt console him. today he is still running kinda high fever (about 101.8) and even giving tylenol doesnt really help.
we took him to see his doc, and yep, both ears are inflamed... at least red, the doc prescribed amniciscillin (not sure about spelling) all along talking about letting it run its course, but in the end its up to us whether to give it him or not...
i looked at other threads that talked about ear infections, and it seems like garlic oil and breast milk as ear drops are the two most popular cures. i didnt find though how much olive oil you use per a clove of garlic... i used about 4-5 tbsps. another q is if its ok to put bmilk in his ears on the same days as garlic oil and how often?
anyone else have any good cures? im sort of concerned about the fever staying up, but the doc didnt seem to be worried. lungs sounded clear, o2 saturation was fine as well...
thanks for your help

Hyland's also makes a ear ache drop and tablets. I know they sell it at Walmart and other drugstores. Hope your little one feels better soon!

i heard about hyland's drops, but thought id give garlic oil and bmilk a try first... truth be told, just didnt feel like venturing out and leaving him when he is so miserable. but if he doesnt feel better tomorrow, i think ill definetely give them a try
