LTK Vest with Peaches N Cream?

I've knit this pattern at least a half dozen times with a variety of yarns, and I love all the results. I'm doing lots of little projects lately with dishcloth cotton and I have a few small baby sweaters that I just love. I have tons of cotton and would love to use it for some spring vests for my younger boys. I'm wondering if a size 3/4 vest would be too heavy in that kind of cotton, and if it stretch out of shape to much. What do you all think? Too heavy?

I don't think it would be too heavy, but I do think you won't get the same drape or give as I originally intended the pattern. Dishcloth cotton has a tendency to shrink a lot in the first few washings, so if you knit to the pattern, after you wash it once it won't fit. I'd say if you wnat to give it a try, to go up one size so that after washign it'll probably work out just right

I hoped you'd answer. Thanks. He's a size 2/3 and I'm knitting it in a size 4 and am going to add a even more length. I'm also doing a garter stitch edging since ribbing with dishcloth yarn is a complete waste of time. I figure it's a small enough knit that if it doesn't work out I won't be out much time and I can just re-work it into something else.
