Am exhausted and getting ready for sleeping, but wanted to update...
Water broke on the 12th at 3 p.m....came to the hospital and was slowly, but surely, making progress. My OB was awesome about working with me and trying accomodate my desires and instincts on laboring....however, on the 14th, after 56 hours of laboring, my little boy started to show signs of distress...we changed positions, different breathing techniques, etc. and after 58 hours we determined that baby had a different idea of how this was supposed to go...and (while weeping) I signed the waiver for a c-section.
I had a c with my oldest, two VBACs, and just never thought I'd find myself back to a "c". I am confident, however, that I followed the path as far as possible and did it as true to myself as possible.
On the upside, after 59 hours, and 12 weeks of bedrest, we finally have God's newest miracle...Tucker Johann...born 2-15-10 at 2:04 a.m. 6 lbs. 6 oz. 20.5 inches long. He nurses like a champ and has been dubbed "Mr. Mellow" by the nurses (who are like family to us at this point!).
I'll post more soon about the entire story, my phenomenal husband/birthing coach, the three siblings meeting Tucker, etc....it has been an amazing journey! Thank you all for your encouragement and support...this forum has meant SO much to me.
