17 month old pulls blanket over his head

He likes to pull his blanket over his head before he goes to sleep. If I pull it down before he's asleep he'll pull it right back up. Should I worry about this? How can I get him to stop?

You can't. As long as he can freely move his blanket then don't worry! Give him his own blanket. At most remove it after he is asleep.

My brother did this with a diaper from a few months old. His girl friend says he still likes to pull the blankets over his head.

Maybe forget blankets and put him in a sleep sack?

Or put him in a sleep sack and give him a very light, breathable blanket like muslin ?

If it's breathable fabric, I wouldn't worry about it. Sounds sweet!

A lot of nights my almost 3-year-old sleeps with the comforter over his head. He's done this since around a year old. I do move it down after it's clear he's asleep, mostly because he'll overheat, but on nights I forget, he's just fine and it ends up off (and then on again) at some point.

Dh is 28 and a lot of nights has his cover over his head. Personally, the idea makes me shudder, but that's how he sleeps best.

I'd just get him a knitted or crocheted blankie so that there are breathing holes. My dd does this.
