Hi- our current sleeping arrangement is a queen mattress, on the floor, next to a twin boxspring and mattress, also on the floor. Currently dd and I sleep in the queen, while dh sleeps in the twin. DD will be moving to the twin in the spring (it's against the wall and gets cold at night). We moved to this setup when dd started crawling. Well, now she's 17 mo old, and she's walking, running, climbing, etc. She gets on and off the couch and glider with no problems. I'm wondering if we can start making the queen back into more of a "normal" bed. I've been thinking that maybe we can start out by moving the boxspring back in under the mattress, then when she gets used to that height increase, move the boxspring and mattress back onto the frame. FWIW, she doesn't roll out of bed now or anything. And, we do own a bed rail that we could re-install if necessary. But, my particular bed set is pretty high when it's all said and done with- the dog couldn't even jump up on it anymore. And if she is going to move to the twin in the spring, I do want a bed that she can get into independently in the middle of the night...
Sorry for rambling, I'm still thinking aloud, obviously. Anyone BTDT? Advice?
