Cleaning Carpets While Pregnant

Would you have your carpets cleaned while pregnant, and if so, what/who would you use? I am 6.5 months pregnant and our carpet has reached the dead-zone -- my energy sinks everytime I walk through my house and look down. I have stains that have not come out with vinegar, Bio-Kleen, and assorted store available options.

Have you tried a steam vacuum or steam cleaner? I'd do that before getting it professionally cleaned.

I just figured if all the topical stuff I was trying hadn't done the job, then steam cleaning wouldn't. But I saw a steam vacuum that was affordable and gosh, if it worked, that would be a great longer term cleaning option than going the "professional" cleaning route. And eventhough I can find eco-friendly companies, I still don't feel entirely safe with the options.
