Bright Red Cheeks on 4 year old?

My son's cheeks have once again turned bright red. Last summer, I had an acupuncture doctor tell me this could be related to food intolerances, which she did some treatments for and I feel like they did clear up. But now the redness is back and I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas on other possible causes?

Could be food intolerances (it's possible that they came back) or a histamine response or a sensitivity to salicylates in foods. You might want to start a food journal to determine the cause.

I was also wondering if it's a food intolerance, either a new one or a recurrence of the same one as before. My HCP does NAET, but thinks that the underlying reason for the intolerance needs to be addressed as well--sometimes NAET is all it takes, but oftentimes nutritional support or something else is needed to keep the problem from recurring.

Yes, it was NAET that we had done; and I've done a little reading on their website and I believe that intolerances and allergies can come back. I would love to get a follow up treatment, but I live in small town in AK and won't be "Down South" until this summer. If it's an intolerance to phenols again as our Acupuncturist suggested, we're out of luck as that is in everything!
