We (dds 9 and 15 and I) all like it, but I can't make out what they mean. Help?

Well, the song is from the album "The Black Parade", which is an opera of sorts, that makes sense when you listen to the whole thing more than one song at a time. But "Teenagers" is basically an expose of what adults think about teens, messages our culture sends to teens and about teens...they're scary and violent and we (adults/society) should "clean them up" and pump them full of drugs (i.e. ADHD meds) to make them more "socially acceptable".
There's the line that goes "and if you're troubled and hurt, what you've got under your shirt will make them pay for the things that they did" referencing school shootings by loners/kids that never fit in - and in MCR's concerts, before performing the song, they give a really great talk about violence NEVER being the answer, and how no one really "fits in", and if you are having a hard time you need to find someone that you trust to talk to.
You really should give the whole album a listen, it seriously changed my life. It is AMAZING.

See I read the under the shirt bit as "it's what inside that counts". I'm useless at this. I will check out the album, thanks!
