Asking on behalf of a friend - can orgasm stop a fertilised egg from implanting do you think? Anyone heard of such a thing? I've Googled and not found anything...

I would have to say a big fat resounding NO
If it did... I wouldn't be pregnant right now.
Its one of those things that your body is used to that wont really hurt anything (and orgasm will not trigger labor to start. It can make contractions you are already having stronger... but it will not start contractions that are not already there)

I'm no kind of medical professional or anything, but this limb looks pretty sturdy to me - No. I do not believe that orgasm hinders implantation.
Implantation of a fertilized egg occurs after fertilization, which occurs after ejaculation. Which is to say, implantation probably does not happen during sex. I mean, maybe, if you have sex on Friday night and then again on Saturday, the egg might be merrily implanting as you get it on that second time. The sex that caused the fertilization and the implantation do not happen anything like simultaneously.
I have a snoozy baby beside me and a toddler in the other room that suggest to me that orgasm does nothing bad to a pregnancy.

I'll clarify - I don't mean the orgasm which you had when sperm were then ejaculated to meet the egg (and I know even then actual conception can take hours to days after the deed). I mean say you have sex 8 - 10DPO when you could have implanted. Could orgasm hinder it then? I think I've read somewhere that people who have had IVF are told not to orgasm in the 2WW but I cant find anything..

nah. but it's funny that's one of the things some of us worry about in the 2ww, that and not wearing tight jeans or slouching, lest we squish our fallopian tubes and block the egg, don't jump or exercise, sneeze, push to poop, or anything else that might upset the little zygote! there's a website called www.twoweekwait.com that has some funny pages like silly things we do (or dont do) during the 2ww.
