Any one have experience with inflamed gallbladders but no stones?

Hey. Lucky me. I've got a malfunctioning gall bladder but no stones (that I could see on the u/s today, maybe the docs will notice something I missed).

So I'm left with likely inflammation of the gall bladder and possibly some motility issues.

Anyone have this? Any luck treating it without losing your gallbladder? Did you remove your gallbladder and how did that go for you?

Try the suggestions at www.gallbladderattack.com . That's what I'm doing right now and I already have some improvement after a day. No stones for me, either. Actually I injured mine, and I just need to thin the bile (beets), get it to move out of the gallbladder (acv) and become less inflamed (castor oil packs). Super site. It gives a gallbladder to diet to follow until you're feeling well--what to eat to help, what to avoid, etc.

Raising my hand! Malfunctioning gallbladder, no stones. I actually had a negative HIDA score (negative 15%), meaning that my gallbladder actually expands when it is supposed to contract. One doc told me that's the lowest HIDA scan score he's ever seen.

Anyway, two docs (including one surgeon) told me that that the chances of surgery fixing my pain are 50/50.

So I still have my gallbladder.

These are the things that work for me:

avoiding rice (pay attention to your food triggers; yours might be different, of course.)

Vitamin E---don't buy cheap stuff. I buy mine at www.carlsonlabs.com

Exercise! Even brief daily walking helps. (Losing weight is also supposed to help, but I haven't lost any weight.)

Massage (rubbing my right side) helps the motility.

HOT WATER BOTTLE! Of course this gets uncomfortable in the summer due to the heat, but 3/4ths of the year I go to sleep with a hot water bottle on my sore gallbladder and wake up without gallbladder pain.

Lost my gallbladder 2 years ago due to inflammation and poor filling of the stupid thing! Haven't missed it in the least bit and felt better when I woke up from surgery than when I went to sleep.
