I can't believe his birthday is already coming. People are starting to ask me what he "wants" for his birthday. Please share your one-year-old's favorite things?
TIA
Our favorites were the rocking snail and the Playhut stuff. I was able to travel with the play hut stuff (though finally ended up giving it all away after three moves), and it was AWESOME at the beach to have a place for him to nap and play in the shade. He played with that snail until the day we left and we were all ever so sad when we had to give it away when we moved to scotland.
For our daughter, the faves are 1. plastic animals from the dollar store (we practice empty/full by putting them in different containers and work on animal sounds and naming) 2. ride on toys; 3. push/pull toys; 4. blocks (the ones that stack AND have animal faces AND fit into a shape sorter for storage are her favorites. I have no idea where they came from, MIL found them at a garage sale); 5. books
My DD's favorites were a baby stroller to push her beloved stuffed animals around in and this wagon. It's a huge hit, especially outside. She will walk it up and down the sidewalk picking up leaves to put inside.
I'm on the hunt as well. Grace is our second child, so we still have all the stuff from the first one - toys, books, etc. From asking other moms what to get, my top two choices are a bubble machine and a shopping cart. If I can find good deals out there before June, I'll just get her both.
