I already e-filed our federal return free through TurboTax. We owe the state of California, so I didn't want to pay to e-file and then pay the state, also. 
I went in search of other free ways to file our state tax return and found this link:

Many people will qualify for free state returns through one or more of the ways listed on that link, so I wanted to post it here.
We, of course, do not qualify for ANY of those! <shakes head and laughs> It'll be the old-fashioned US mail for us this year....
