Andrew Douglas has arrived!

Andrew Douglas was born on Thursday, Feb 11, at 12:31pm. 8lbs, 3oz and 20 inches long. My water broke at home 12 hours before delivery. Active labor set in around 8am, and 4 1/2 hours later he was born perfect and healthy! No complications with either of us we are both home and recovering well. He's perfect in every way, and nursing like a champ! Only thing is though, is that I had difficulty pushing him out- still managed without assistance, but am very sore, bruised and swollen. Still hard to sit. Thanks to everyone for your support!

I feel you on the sitting! My doc recommeded lots of warm baths with just water, peribottle squirts every time I pee and lot's of downward dog. My daughter was born the day before yours and this is the first day that I have noticed swelling down a little. Hang in there!
