Placenta Encapsulation

For those of you that encapsulated your placenta, how many pills did you take and for how long? From what I've read it seems like take what you need to feel better until you don't need to take them anymore...

My doula told me to tak 3 capsules 3x's a day for 7 days, then 2 caps 2x's a day for days 8-14, after that 2 caps 1x a day until you run out or don't feel the need to take them anymore. I think I ended up taking 1 once a day until I ran out to wean myself off slowly. Not sure if it mattered but I was scared to quit taking them because I felt so great but I was fine when I ran out.

I encapsulate placentas in Seattle. I recommend 2-3 capsules 2-3 times a day for 2-3 weeks. a bit of white wine helps increase the benefits.

some women do wean down and even save a few for future stressful situations.

Thanks! If we manage to get the placenta into capsules, I will take 2-3, 2-3 times a day for a few weeks. Hopefully someone around here will be willing to help me! (My mom is planning on helping me, but she gets a little grossed out at the thought of it at times...DH just thinks I am crazy and he is not willing to help)

Do you have any resouces on how white whine enhances the benefits? I do encapsulation too and I sometimes add herbs per clients request to the placenta poweder (i'm studying to be an herbalist).

Thanks!
