Soy Isoflavones later in cycle?

Just curious...I am on cd33, and still no O. I was recently on vitex and maca, and cut out the vitex about a week ago. (I got an interesting temp drop when I did.) I had been taking vitex for about 4.5 months and it has not helped me regulate.

I may try Soy Isoflavones next cycle if I don't end up pg. What would happen if I took them this cycle? I have no idea if I am going to O...I geared up a couple of times already.

I am mostly just looking for info. I've been on a lot of "stuff" lately (vitex, maca, progesterone), so I don't particularly want to add to the mix just yet...

Maurine-
I am at CD30... right there with ya! I've heard that soy in general can be bad? Screws with hormones? Haven't really done any research myself, but I've cut out my beloved chocolate soy milk and almost never eat my Luna bars anymore. Want to give me a quick rundown of soy/no soy???

Good luck to you and I will be keeping my fingers crossed for you. As another 2006 bride I am starting to get the 'how long have you been married... isn't it time for babies?' comments and I would like to put them to rest!!

I took it on CD74-78. At this point, I figured why not? it might help trigger something...ykwim?
I'm on CD82 now, still waiting.....

Looks like we're in the same boat. I've seen you on the loooong cycles thread! I can't tell if this is my longest cycle, or if last cycle my "spotting" on cd19 is considered a period or no. It was early, brown, but enough to use a pad.

If not, then I O'd cd42 last cycle. Sigh.

I am so sorry! Have you thought of calling the doc? I have wondered when I might do so, to get something to trigger AF and move on to next cycle...

Keep us updated!

Maurine, thanks. I did call my doc and she had me go to the lab to check my TSH levels first before doing anything else. I had blood drawn on Wednesday and am awaiting the results.
The last time I had an uber-long cycle (93 days) I took Progesterone to start a new one. We'll see what happens this time.

I recommend a herbal detox. I have PCOS and when I have really long cycles I do a herbal detox and it brings on my period. The brand I use is Wild Rose and I do the 12 day whole body detox, and also follow the diet. It worked for my sister too (she also has PCOS). In regards to the soy isoflavones I direct your attention to the third little name in my sig line, Miss Eliana Eva Jane. She was conceived on my first cycle with soy isoflavones (cd 3-7). Good luck!
