Now talk to me about polyhydramnios (Too Much Amniotic Fluid)

Sigh, in addition to a blood clot during my last pregnancy, a stillbirth in my last pregnancy, and a breech baby this pregnancy, I now have a polyhydramnios diagnosis. All this after 3 routine, normal pregnancies and deliveries.
I am 35 weeks and they (OBs) want me to do NSTs twice a week, with AFI Ultrasounds at least once of those 2 visits in addition to my weekly OB appts. While I am thrilled to be able to keep such a close eye on my babe (esp as I approach the timing of my loss), I hate all these diagnosis(es) and extra worries. Not to mention just the logistics of getting to all 3 of these appointments every week with 2 children not in school. Again, just more added stress to an already stressful time.
Anyway, my real point here was to get some BTDT info from anyone who has anything to say

I had poly with my last two pregnancies. My Dr said the majority of cases are asymptomatic.

Basically for me they told me they were only worried about cord prolapse if my water broke. Your baby is probably able to float around and do flips constantly because there is so much water. It'll make movements less noticeable as well.
My dr's just wanted to break my water and position DS2 off my cord, but DS3 was already engaged so they didn't have to do that.

I'm sure everything will be fine! it's annoying to have all those appointments. I just had my boys (21 months and 3 yrs) watch Cailou on my Iphone

One thing they can try in the hospital, when you are term and in labor is to suction water out using needle aspiration if your waters has not broken.

My OB does not do them, but with my last, he recommended doing it while I was in labor, because baby was very high (even with me in a sitting position, he could barely poke her bum with the tip of his finger). He was going to have the Teaching physicians (those from the local med school who teach the OB/GYN course and also have a clinic/practice) attempt it. But at the same time I was have the huge need/urge to push and he told me to follow my bodies ques and when I did my water broke and DD2 came down perfect. I happened to be sitting at the time, and drenched everyone and everything with all the water from my BOW. They had to come in and clean the room up before i could do much more.

Mine was caught a few days before I went into labor.

Oh, it also means that if you do an ECV it will have a higher chance of turning the baby, but the downside is because of all the extra fluid, baby has a higher chance of changing position again.
