AP mom with twins needs advice

Thread Starter
hi all, posting for a friend who just had twins. (she has one 7-year old already that she nursed until age 5 and still sleeps in her bed.)
she is wanting information on how to co-sleep with twins and how to wear them both. i looked at the sticky on this thread and sent her all kinds of links to photos from those sites. however:
do any of you have advice for her? favorite carrier combos or is there one that can hold BOTH? books or links you'd share? descriptions of how to co-sleep with both infants?
if so, please do email her at
shepherd.cw@comcast.net
she would greatly appreciate any help you could give.
thanks so much, fellow mothering sisters!

Other moms may know better, but here's my experiences:

At first we had the girls in a pack n play near our bed. Not really co-sleeping, but safe and convenient. When I brought a babe to bed as an infant, I always wanted her between us. (Our bed's not very co-sleeping friendly.) When in a crib, I kept them together for the first few months. Finally, since my girls got bigger, my preferred co-sleeping is a twin on each side and DH on the couch. We grew out of four to a queen at about 18-20 months.

Double carrying I have more experience with. Moby wraps will carry 2 small babies, but only with practice. Hard to get in position when you've got one or two crying babes. Practice early and often!

Now that my girls are bigger, I'll wear them in Ergos, one on the back and one on the front. Heavy, but I love it.

Good luck to your friend!
