What is this recipe?

I saw a recipe on a food blog that someone here had posted a link to (very specific info, dont'cha think?). Anyhoo, it was a couple who were eating low carb and for some reason I feel like they were British, but I might be imagining that. They had the most beautiful pictures of food posted - I specifically remember them showing "acorns", which were almonds with the tips dipped in chocolate to resemble an.... you guessed it!... acorn.

The specific recipe that I am looking for was a hot cereal type deal that was made from almond flour, eggs and something else. Does anyone have any idea what I'm talking about?

(I think it's fairly obvious from reading this post that I am severely sleep deprived and teetering on the edge of being completely incoherent!)

Thanks!

Was it possibly this one?

Almond Porridge

1 serving - 8g carbs

1/4 cup heavy cream-2
1/2 cup ground almonds-5
2 eggs-1
1/2 cup of cold water-0
DaVinci SF Syrup or liquid Splenda to taste-0

Heat the cream and almonds together in a saucepan, until almost boiling, and then remove from the heat.

In a separate bowl, beat the eggs with the water, and then pour in the hot cream and almonds, beating all the time. When thoroughly mixed, pour the mixture back into the saucepan and keep stirring over a low heat until it thickens.

When it?s at the desired consistency, add liquid Splenda or DaVinci sugar free syrup (Caramel is especially good) to taste and serve.""

I saw it on some low-carb website. It sounds pretty good, although I'd probably use maple syrup to sweeten it!

It's very similar to the one you posted - I'm going to give it a try. Thank you!
