are you rested?

Wondering from parents who sleep with a toddler -

are you rested?

When DS crawls into our bed, we get kicked in the face, ribs, etc. and have to endure crying fits when he wakes up. It's making the family miserable.

Do your bed sharing toddlers have better behavior? Do you actually sleep? If so, how? Were they always peaceful sleepers?

How do you put them to bed? How do you deal with wakings? Are they calm when they wake up, or angry and crying?

We went thorugh phases like that, also through ones where she'd sleep longer with me just for a touch.

My 5 y/o came in last night at 2 and started flopping at 4 so her Dad took her back to her room and tucked her in and told her she needed more space, at this age she can "get" that.

i'm a walking zombie. i start out with her in our bed and when she gets to sleep, i go to her room (she kicks and my dh snores) then when she wakes (several times a night) she comes in to get me or i go get her as she wants nothing to do with dad at night.

yes, she kicks, rolls, laughs, punches, pulls my hair sometimes and hates to be under the covers.

but she looks like an angel when she sleeps
