Please share your middle of the nite diaper change set up

Trying to get a bit organized before babe comes and remembering last time about middle of the nite changes with a bitty one and no sleep.
We will be cosleeping. Do you change on the bed or have a changing table in your room? How do you have dipes/wipes set up? Pail in there too?
I just remember finding balled up dirty diapers various places when I awoke.
Wanting to make this as easy as possible and not wanting to find a dirty diaper under my bed later on. Thanks for any tips!

I very rarely changed ds in the middle of the night unless he was truly awake or had pooped. Then I just went to the change table in the bathroom off our bedroom & kept the lights low.

I keep baskets of diapers in the bedroom and in the living room. I never liked using a changing table so bed/couch/whatever always worked for us. I would try to remember to bring the wipes in with us but if I forgot them and truly needed them, then I would go get one or ask DH to. After the change (if I even did it, DH helps a lot) DH would put it into the pail. The way DH and I see it is, I am up nursing, nursing, nursing, the least he can do is get up and deal with a diaper here and there. I don't think I would bring a pail into the room but a wet bag isn't a bad idea.

I seem to remember the same issues when my 5yo was a babe Op!

The only recommendation I really have are for those baby "gowns" I found that if one of my babies was asleep in a "sleep n play" I would fumble (and grow increasingly more frustrated) with the snaps on the legs but the gowns kept things more simple for me in the middle of the night.. you know the kind, they look like really long tshirts with an elastic band around the bottom to create a sack look.

Some moms think they are a waste of money, but they kept my sanity. Pull it up, change baby, pull it down.

We co-sleep. I have a folding table beside the bed with everything all set up. I just leave the wet on the table(unless there's poo) & I have some sanitizing wipes on the table to clean it later on.

I also only do one change a night usually, if he's sleeping hard I have no intention on waking him up to play. When he was tiny & woke All. The. Time. I changed him a lot more hoping he would be comfy enough to sleep more...probably did more damage to his sleep than help by waking him up.

Thanks for all the replies! I am really looking forward to the point of not changing in the middle of the nite. Remembering dd that was pooping during the nite for a while and that was not a pretty site half awake. haha

My guy's almost 5 mo, and we're still changing in the middle of the night, every night.

I have to sit up to feed him, so I just change him on the bed next to me... I have a bench next to the bed, and I always grab 2 dipes from the nursery before bed. I keep wipes and water and a spare cover on the bench, pail under the bench.
