We live in the near west suburbs and just found out we are having twins. I am trying to find an OB/GYN or midwife that has birthed twins naturally. I amthinking someone affiliated with West Sub or Prentise

Thanks.

I have heard from several people that Dr. Michael Hussey at Rush is the best for supporting vaginal birth of twins.

There are home birth midwives who will also support this.

Congratulations!! I have several friends/acquaintences with great twin birth and nursing stories!

How exciting!!

My friend just had twins naturally at UIC AND one of them was breech. I can ask her for the Doc's name if you're interested.

Hi, I was using a midwife group, but they won't be able to work with me in birthing my identical twins. It is too high risk. I wanted to find an OB who could do as much as possible to avoid a c-section and help me do this naturally. Any doctor names would be a huge help. Thanks

You can try Dr. Daube at Hinsdale Hospital or Dr. Hubka at Swedish hospital. Both will attend vaginal twin births.

@ WowTwins, welcome!  A friend of mine just had a vaginal twin vbac birth with Mark Sibul (http://www.chicagoobgyn.mymedfusion.com/index.cfm/fuseaction/site.home.cfm) last September.  He works out of Prentice in Chicago, but she said she had a very good experience with him. Best of luck --
