help w/ CBC counts

My 2 year old had blood work done two days ago. The doctor said one of the numbers indicates inflammation and it was high. Does anyone know what she means and could you explain it to me further? She wants to re-do the blood work in a week, as long as no other symptoms change. Her WBC and RBC counts were both a bit elevated but not very high. Her urine was normal and a chest x-ray was clean.

I'm trying to not freak out over anything. She's also mildly anemic and has had a mid-high grade fever on and off since Jan. 31. No weight loss, no dehydration, no yucky bowel movements. Her doc. is leaning towards a viral infection that my dd is fighting off slowly. If her fever goes back up, the doc. will start calling for other opinions. Today she's acting totally normal.

I'd love some input from medically-minded people, please.

Anyone?

Her temp is at 100.7* Her doc said anything under 101 is alright but that's close isn't it?
