How LONG did you have bloody show (red) before labor?

I am still not planning on anything happening anytime soon, but how long can I expect to keep seeing red bloody show? Whether alone or in mucus? This is the 2nd day in a row that I've had some, but not the first time I've seen it in the last couple of weeks (though the first time was a GIANT chunk of plug and was half old blood half red/new blood...but I'd been losing non-bloody plug for weeks). I was already 4cm prior to all of this, if that matters. I have absolutely no other signs of labor.

eta- I know some people never have it, as I didn't have it until well into labor with my last two. But I know I've heard people say things like "I had bloody show for weeks before labor" and I Just wonder if it was RED, fresh blood or brown, older blood during that whole time.

I had bloody show for a few hours - maybe 2-3? - before dd was born, only blood like the beginning of your period. I lost my plug the day before she was born.

I actually never had any show at all.

I never had any show either. And my mucus plug didn't make an appearance until I was 7-8 cm.

I only had it when in active labor.

Mine only came with blood once I was having labor contractions both times. You're likely dilating pretty well already.

Me, too. And it was pink.

If yours is really bloody, maybe call your HCP? You're probably just dilating really well, but since I've only had pink, I would at least call.
